MAG-NET

The MAG-NET project brings together a wide range of partners—from local authorities to leading innovation and creative hubs—whose activities are aimed at tackling key challenges of contemporary urban life: preventing brain drain, encouraging economic development, and strengthening the local community.

The primary goal of the project is to establish a network of local stakeholders that will help stop the outflow of talent from Celje and Prebold, while also attracting back those who have moved away in the past. Many smaller European cities have been facing this challenge in recent years, and MAG‑NET aims to reverse this trend and support them in becoming more attractive places to live, work, and create.

To achieve this, the project will focus on several interconnected areas that influence residents’ decisions to stay or return: housing accessibility, sustainable mobility, the city’s atmosphere and public life, energy communities, and the development of Industry 4.0 sectors to enable higher value‑added jobs.

IPoP’s role in the project is to coordinate stakeholder engagement activities across thematic areas and to lead participatory processes specifically related to sustainable mobility.
