KReATIVE
The pilot project as part of the Mission for climate-neutral and smart cities promotes sustainable mobility/sustainable travel options through the development of digital tools and participatory approaches. Its goal is to raise awareness among residents and improve connections between the city and surrounding areas. IPoP contributes by engaging stakeholders and providing support in communication and awareness raising activities.

The aim of the pilot project is to develop and implement tools that will encourage residents and visitors to choose more sustainable ways of traveling around the city and its wider area. As part of the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission, the ECT programme seeks and supports the development of innovative and practical measures that will help address key challenges in implementing the mission while also being applicable and transferable to any other European city.
Activities:
- Digital Mobility Marketplace, which will include a journey planner, a platform for shared mobility (finding/offering ride-sharing to/from Kranj from various locations), and on demand transport services (call/click to request a ride – a solution especially for areas where city buses do not run frequently).
- Events and workshops for residents, where they will learn about sustainable modes of transport (cycling, walking, public transport, etc.), their benefits, and the digital tools that support such travel choices. Awareness raising and information activities will also be carried out through other communication channels.
- Engagement of all relevant stakeholders in the project processes.
IPoP is involved in the project as a partner. Through participatory and communication pilot activities, we help strengthen the municipal administration’s understanding of the city’s commitments under the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission, as well as other activities related to achieving climate neutrality.
