The study “Providing public transport in cross-border regions – Mapping of existing services and related legal obstacles”
The study “Providing public transport in cross-border regions – Mapping of existing services and related legal obstacles” (2019CE160AT093) is being conducted by a consortium including TCP International, TRT, EureConsult and Spatial Foresight for the European Commission, DG REGIO. The CBPT study aims to map existing cross-border public transport services and their legal and administrative obstacles, to which, inter alia, case studies shall contribute. A selection of 31 cases studies illustrates the services’ contribution to increase accessibility and connectivity for the citizens in cross-border regions; challenges and obstacles experienced for the development and provision of the services; as well as possible (pragmatic) solutions found to overcome these challenges and obstacles.
IPoP is a sub-consultant for the case study on Rail line between Bleiburg and Maribor. The case study work comprises desk research, interviews with key informants and drafting a report.
